VCA Charities Pet Food Pantry Program – Serving 81,000 Meals to Pets in Need this Holiday Season

Established in June 2010, VCA Charities Pet Food Pantry program was created to provide nutritious pet food meals to needy families to help keep their pets healthy and happy. VCA Charities strongly believes in the human and animal bond, we hope by providing this pet food to pet owners in need we can prevent these animals from being surrendered, abandoned, or mistreated.

VCA Charities is excited to share a little holiday cheer, we are on course to provide over 81,000 meals to pets in need this Thanksgiving week. VCA Charities was created to be a socially responsible extension of the kind, compassionate, and devoted employees that make up our company. We hope this nutritious pet food finds its way into the bellies of pets in need allowing for them to remain healthy, happy, and loved by their pet owner(s) for many years to come.

The VCA Charities Pet Food Pantry program began with one location in Venice, CA., the program has since grown to 29 locations. The VCA Charities Pet Food Pantry program is co-sponsored by Hill’s Pet Nutrition. Hill’s provides the pet food to VCA Charities as an in-kind donation. The annual cost to provide the pet food for each pantry location is approximately $5,000.
